Overview

WPRiders is an international web development agency specializing in WordPress, WooCommerce, SaaS, and enterprise solutions for startups, SMEs, and established businesses. Working across fintech, hospitality, SaaS, eCommerce, and internal platforms, I contributed to redesigning and modernizing complex digital products with a focus on usability, scalability, and clearer user experiences.

A large part of the work involved transforming outdated or fragmented interfaces into more intuitive, conversion-oriented systems while adapting to real technical and business constraints.

Scope

My work spanned a broad range of digital products and client needs, including:

  • SaaS dashboards and product interfaces

  • eCommerce and WooCommerce platforms

  • Booking and membership systems

  • UX audits and interface restructuring

  • Responsive redesigns

  • Accessibility and usability improvements

  • Internal business tools and workflows

  • Landing pages and conversion-focused experiences

Some projects required complete visual modernization, while others focused on improving usability and extending existing systems without disrupting established workflows or development architecture.

Role

This was a highly client-facing role where I worked directly with stakeholders, developers, and project managers throughout the design process. As the primary designer on most projects, I was responsible for translating business requirements, technical limitations, and user needs into scalable and implementation-ready design solutions.

My responsibilities included:

  • UX audits and interface analysis

  • Wireframing and flow restructuring

  • High-fidelity UI design

  • Responsive layouts and system consistency

  • Extending reusable design systems

  • Developer-ready handoff and documentation

  • Client presentations and design consultation

Beyond execution itself, a significant part of the role involved guiding clients through design decisions, explaining UX rationale, and helping align business goals with practical and user-centered solutions.

Challenges

Many of the products I worked on were existing systems with outdated UI, inconsistent structures, poor usability, or low conversion performance. Improving these experiences required balancing modernization with technical feasibility and preserving existing platform functionality.

Projects frequently involved:

  • inherited legacy systems

  • cluttered dashboards and dense interfaces

  • inconsistent visual hierarchy

  • fast-moving timelines

  • multiple stakeholder feedback loops

  • responsive and accessibility considerations

  • balancing business expectations with UX improvements

Another major challenge was adapting quickly between industries and product types while maintaining consistency and scalability across deliverables.

Process

The process typically began with auditing existing products and identifying issues related to usability, hierarchy, navigation, responsiveness, and visual consistency. From there, I restructured flows, created wireframes, refined layouts, and redesigned interfaces with a stronger focus on clarity and scalability.

I regularly built reusable UI patterns and responsive systems that could adapt across larger platforms while improving developer implementation efficiency. Iteration was highly collaborative, involving continuous communication with clients, project managers, and developers throughout the design and implementation process.

A key focus throughout the work was simplifying complexity, reducing friction within existing systems while modernizing the overall experience without sacrificing functionality.

Impact

The work contributed to modernizing a variety of digital products across SaaS, fintech, hospitality, and eCommerce sectors while improving usability, scalability, and visual consistency.

Key contributions included:

  • clearer dashboard hierarchy and navigation

  • improved responsive behavior across products

  • more scalable and reusable UI systems

  • smoother collaboration between design and development

  • more polished and conversion-focused interfaces

  • faster iteration through organized design structures

The role also strengthened trust with both clients and internal teams through reliability, adaptability, and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple industries simultaneously.

Wrap up

WPRiders strengthened my ability to solve UX and product challenges within real-world production environments where scalability, business goals, and technical limitations all needed to coexist.

The experience pushed me further into product thinking, UX restructuring, and systems-based design while also developing strong client communication and consultation skills. Working across multiple industries and product types helped refine my ability to quickly analyze complex systems, identify usability problems, and design scalable solutions that balance clarity, functionality, and visual quality.
