Overview
Lumia is a next-generation Layer 2 blockchain focused on bringing real-world assets into DeFi through tokenization, liquidity infrastructure, and scalable blockchain tooling. Alongside work for Lumia itself, a large part of my role involved designing product experiences and visual systems for adjacent ecosystem products built on top of Lumia’s infrastructure — including dashboards, staking platforms, launchpads, analytics interfaces, and ecosystem branding explorations.
Scope
My work spanned both the core Lumia platform and multiple ecosystem initiatives across web3, DeFi, and tokenized asset products.
This included:
Dashboard and platform UI design
Landing pages and responsive interfaces
Staking, wallet, and token interaction flows
Ecosystem branding and visual direction
Presentation and pitch deck design
Social media and event collateral
Design systems and reusable UI patterns
Product visuals for ecosystem launches and partnerships
Some products were built from scratch, while others involved redesigning or refining existing interfaces and visual systems.

Role
Visual Product Designer
Working through MRZ Design Studio alongside Lumia’s internal marketing and leadership teams.
I contributed primarily on the visual design side, helping shape premium, high-trust interfaces for both Lumia and its connected ecosystem products. My role focused on translating rough concepts, wireframes, and evolving requirements into polished, launch-ready experiences while maintaining consistency across multiple brands and platforms.
Challenges
One of the main challenges was designing clarity within highly technical products. Many ecosystem platforms involved complex blockchain concepts, financial metrics, staking flows, and high-density dashboards that needed to feel intuitive and trustworthy.
Additional challenges included:
Rapid iteration cycles
Frequently changing requirements
Tight turnaround times for launches and presentations
Maintaining consistency across multiple ecosystem products
Balancing “hype” web3 aesthetics with usability and structure

Process
The process was highly iterative and fast-moving due to the nature of web3 products and ecosystem launches.
I typically:
Explored visual directions and competitive references
Refined rough wireframes into high-fidelity UI
Built reusable components and scalable patterns
Organized complex financial and blockchain data into clearer interfaces
Prepared responsive layouts and developer-ready assets
Supported presentations, launch materials, and ecosystem branding alongside product UI
A major focus was balancing futuristic, high-impact visuals with usability and readability across dense dashboard experiences.

Impact
The work helped strengthen visual consistency across Lumia’s growing ecosystem while giving individual products their own distinct identity and positioning.
I contributed to:
More scalable and cohesive product visuals
Clearer dashboard hierarchy and usability
Faster iteration through reusable UI patterns
Stronger presentation and pitch materials for partnerships and stakeholders
Reliable delivery under tight deadlines and launch pressure
I was also regularly trusted with high-priority presentations and launch assets that required quick turnaround and polished execution.
Wrap up
Lumia strengthened my experience designing for web3 and fintech environments, especially within multi-product ecosystems. Beyond individual screens, the work required balancing branding, product thinking, scalability, and fast execution across interconnected platforms.
It strengthened my ability to design premium, high-density interfaces while maintaining clarity, consistency, and strong visual direction across evolving products and brands.
